Scenariotesting in Second Life

For a faster evaluation of situations and problems in the hospital a model was made in Second Life and evaluated weather it could be used for finding logistic problems at the workfloor. At the hospital much was asked about how people work there, what are the places where they work etc. and incorporated in the model.

The results of the test with nurses and observers were not good: the communication in second life worked (then) with a chat box and demanded typed questions and answers. This stopped a natural behaviour of the nurses and operators and it was not possible to observe well how they transport people in and out the MRI rooms.
