eat your car!

For Concordia i made a window design for cristmas 2007.

I put a Cristmas table in their place, decorated with candles, plates, red tablecloth and so on. Theaterlights on it. On the plates cars, made from agar and dyed with ecoline (transparant dye) and food dye. Eat your car!

The molds were made by vacuumforming a wooden model that i made for it. My first vacuum forming. Casting worked fine with agar. I also tried gelatine, but that did not work: to much water drained within a day, the car sagged and spilled the water, so it did not look right. Agar stays in shape a couple of days, then thew casting has to be replaced because fungi start to grow in it.
