Hoogspanning, high voltage, danger!

This is the set, placed in a huge tent, located in the new neighbourhood Roombeek that was devasted by the explosion of the fireworkfactory in 2000. It was the first "normal" cultural event in Roombeek, Enschede in 2004, after rebuilding the neigboorhood. Situated on a still empty field, construction of new houses and demolition of old ones still going on around the set.

The show is about an asthmatic adolescent who set fire to their holiday house. He comes back to the place together with his mother and her new friend. Recognizable, dramatic adolescent problems, played and performed by the theatergroup De Nieuwe Koning. The production was by het Productiehuis and i designed and build the set.
