Sunday October 23th: Workshop Maand van de grafiek 2016
Learning and sharing.
We changed to more thematic workshops such as building boats together with home education group or workshops around paper and constructing with paper.
There are many opportunities to make these interesting for various levels of skill, age, interest and paper is just great material: it can be colored, folded, lasercut, ripped and torn, used as construction material, as flat drawing sheet. Pretty cool stuff. Laser however and CNC plotters are not avoided at all, we use them to instruct how they work or because they do the job very well, but in a different context. We don't want to be technology driven, technology is a highly valued tool, but: a tool. We nioticed that this gives a much wider, broader range for usefull workshops than limiting ourself to technology driven classes. We are discovering how that works, what it implies. By doing it, trying it, making things, using them and we spend many evenings talking about it with each other. We are merely a group of interested people who want to live and shape their own life.
