I purchased a router, and now i'm learning how to work with it. No open source, no ownmade hardware, but a machine that does what it has to do without any extra time and energy input required. Only learning the software: Rhinocam. It's a great help however to have gained much experience with the other cnc machines: gcode, aspects of milling and drilling, working in layers. I also own a hand router and a xy router (hand crancked table) which helps a lot in understanding how a good design is made for the CNC router. |
