Concept of the set: behind the walls and curtains, and the houses that surround the squares (brink).

from the archive of Enschede: a picture taken about 1960, the time of the play. This is a typical Brink: houses surround a square with a playground and a bench where the mothers are supposed to watch their playing children.

this is how it looks now.

Closed curtains at night. This would be transformed into the set. The walls would be presented by curtains that could be opened easily. The televisions (left over from Part Two) would comment, illuminate or subtitle and are also natural part of the interiors of the houses.
