!pet computer casing 2008
For the company !pet from Hoogeveen a design was made for a computercasing. This was intended for the upper end of the consumer market who wanted to distinguish themself with a design casing for a computer instead of buying an apple or asus.
first inspirational sketches were drawn. The TT in assen and the shapes of the computer parts acted as strong forces of inspiration
since computers do not differentiate very much a radically different design was made and built. Wood, polycarbonate and metal were used. The usual effort to obtain a very small computer was skipped and the design stressed that a computer is mainly a machine in a chain for communicating.

The computer was presented in September 2008 in Hoogeveen and also in October in Eindhoven at Design United 2008
A new design is now being developed, aimed at production of a standard frame and individualized casings.
Design inspired by TT Assen
Internal frame, cut out and bent sheet metal.
Cut out of the name the company, transparant casing shows internal constuction and function.
Rotating the hard disks (situated in the small boxes on top ) start special functions, such as video or audio editing programs
